Secret Santa is a thing that work does every year and most years I get someone I have no idea what they'd appreciate so either do a jokey present or go safe with bath stuff or similar. This year I picked one of my friend's names out of the hat which meant it is an EPIC year for secret santa!
She absolutely loves moomins and as the suggested amount is £5.00 buying one was out of the question. After a short search on Google I found this little beauty, I can only apologise to the author of the pattern for the differences in my finished product. I never started out to make it differently, I just ended up only being able to find a size 5.5mm hook and had to use the wool I had in my stash due to lack of funds. This meant that the finished product turned out a lot bigger than I think it probably should have!
I still love it though!

Winnie the Pooh Alphabet Sampler
Latest cross stitch finish:
I'm so pleased with it, it's turned out really well and I'm already nearly there to finishing the pattern all over again for another friend! Apparently, I had some oomph and managed to stick at it for longer than half an hour ;)
This one was lovingly made for one of my best friend's little girl and the second is being lovingly made for my godson so hoping to have that finished by Christmas.
This time scale should be doable so long as the double knitting that I have just been taught doesn't distract me too much........

Bernat Softee Baby Crochet Baby Blanket
I have a finish!!
I started this baby blanket back in May this year and had to restart it a couple of weeks or so ago as I ran out of wool. It was a pink that I had thought I'd be able to match if I needed more, but alas, no!
So I bought a three pack of Robin Bonny Babe Double Knitting in a light pink and started again.
The pattern I followed is the Bernat Softee Baby Crochet Baby Blanket found here (you may have to sign up to open it, but it's free and you don't get hassled!). As I'd already done four rows of the squares, it was pretty easy to get them done again. I had a little hiccough when I got to the border, mainly because my brain wasn't working properly due to a cold, but once I twigged that "Join yarn in
top left corner ch-7 sp. Ch 4." didn't mean join yarn, chain seven, leave a space, chain four, I was good to go!
I really love how it's turned out and highly recommend it if you're looking for something easy that looks really pretty!
